Mission/Goal of BEST
BEST has been meeting weekly since late February, holding sessions at each of the District’s elementary schools as well as at the Mohawk Middle/High School. During the initial meetings, these district-wide goals were articulated.
         ~Reduce MTRSD cost to educate students
         ~Reduce assessments to member towns
         ~Devote more money to students and less to support staff and infrastructure
         ~Enrich student offerings
         ~Optimize class sizes
         ~Reduce student losses to Choice and Charter
         ~Reduce transportation costs
         ~Increase state and federal support
